Am I able to receive credit for training I have previously completed? RGT’s Registered Training Organisation and Automotive Skills Centre believe that no learner should be required to undertake training where they can already demonstrate that they are competent. Recognition is the formal acknowledgment of skills and knowledge obtained through formal training, work experience and/or life experience. If you feel you have already achieved any of the competencies in your training program you should inform your training and assessment consultant and complete a Recognition form (link to pdf). How often will a Training and Assessment Consultant visit me? The arrangements for workplace visits are flexible, however visits are generally conducted once every four weeks or alternatively we provide off-the-job training at our office every Tuesday morning from 9:00am to 12:00pm. What happens if I change employers? The qualifications are nationally recognised so you will not have to re-do any units of competency that have already been assessed as competent. You will receive a Statement of Attainment for units already completed and may choose to continue the remainder of the certificate with your new employer at their discretion.

“Regional Group Training helped me kick start my career. It is a friendly and informative environment with modest class sizes to allow for better communication with teachers. The skills that I learnt will be with me throughout my motor mechanic career.”
