What are Australian Apprenticeships?

Australian Apprenticeships combine practical work with structured training to give people a nationally recognised qualification and the experience they need to achieve the job they want.

Australian Apprenticeships are a great way to build a career. No matter what the industry, Australian Apprenticeships provide an attractive training option.

Australian Apprenticeships training has been designed by industry for industry. The training can be delivered on site, off site, by mentoring, or a combination of these.  Basically it means that training is now designed to be more flexible to suit the needs of the Australian Apprentice and your business.

Australian Apprenticeships are 'competency based'. This means it may be possible for an Australian Apprentice to complete their training early if they have reached the skill level required. It is even possible to commence an Australian Apprenticeship while still at school. This is called an Australian School-based Apprenticeship and allows students to commence an Australian Apprenticeship while attending Years 10, 11 and 12. More information can be found on the Government ASbA website.

Australian Apprenticeships produce a more productive trained workforce for your industry and specifically for your business.
